The Gift of Care

The Gift of Care is a community initiative by The Spa Inc., operating as The Spa at Olivine, [mailing address] ("we" or "us"). These terms explain how nominations work and how we choose the person who receives The Gift of Care.

1. Nomination period

Nominations open at 12:00 a.m. on October 15, 2026 and close at 11:59 p.m. on December 10, 2026 (Mountain Time). Nominations received outside this period will not be considered.

2. Who can be nominated

Anyone who lives in Alberta and is at least 18 years old may be nominated. Employees of The Spa at Olivine, members of the nomination committee, and their immediate families and household members cannot be nominated.

3. How to nominate

Nominating is free, and no purchase is necessary. Complete the nomination form on this website during the nomination period. You may nominate as many people as you like. Several nominations for the same person are welcome, but they don't change how the committee considers that person.

4. The Gift of Care

One person will receive The Gift of Care: the Self Renewal Package at The Spa at Olivine and a gift basket, with a combined value of $350 CAD. It must be used by [date], is for the recipient only (a guest cannot be included), is not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

5. How the recipient is chosen

After nominations close, our nomination committee will read every nomination and choose one person, considering how they care for others and what this experience would mean to them. The committee's decision is final. The recipient is chosen thoughtfully by people, not by random draw.

6. Reaching the recipient

We will contact the person chosen within two weeks after nominations close, using the details provided by the nominator. If we can't reach them within 5 business days, if they would prefer not to accept, or if they aren't eligible, we may choose another recipient.

7. Sharing stories

By nominating someone, you confirm that what you've shared is accurate to the best of your knowledge. We will never share a nominee's name, story or photo publicly without their permission. The recipient may be invited, but never required, to let us share their story.

8. Privacy

We collect and use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. General

We may decline any nomination that is incomplete, inaccurate, offensive or made in bad faith, and we may change or end The Gift of Care if it can't continue as planned.
